Boulder Retaining Wall
A multi-tiered natural boulder retaining wall system installed on a steep residential slope in Woodland Park, Colorado. The project involved significant excavation to establish level terraces, followed by placement of 1–4 ft Mule Creek Gravel boulders to create durable, gravity-based retaining structures along the driveway and around the home's foundation.
The finished walls stabilize the hillside, redirect drainage away from the structure, and deliver the rugged, natural character that Colorado mountain properties demand. Boulders were sourced directly from MCG's Divide pit and delivered by Tandem Dump truck — 15 loads total — to the project site.
